21st Century Gardens

Picture

In 2009, 21st Century Gardens and The Growing Project joined forces to improve and expand the opportunities available at the collective Mulberry Community Gardens (MCG). Over the course of the 2010 growing season, the vegetable production area tripled in size, an irrigation system was installed, twenty-five fruit trees were donated and planted by the Fruit Tree Planting Foundation, the compost system was doubled and three pygora goats moved in. These additions resulted in 1,233 pounds of produce being donated to the Food Bank of Larimer County. (And this was even after volunteers took home all they could carry!) MCG offers a wealth of agricultural opportunities.

In 2011, the original founders of the Mulberry Community Gardens decided to spread their wings and build their own non-profit, 21st Century Gardens. Please visit www.mulberrycommunitygardens.org for more information.
