GLEAN TEAM
In partnership with The Food Bank for Larimer County, the GLEAN TEAM works with local farmers to harvest excess or damaged produce from the fields and delivers it to the food bank. Through GLEAN TEAM efforts, thousands of pounds of healthy, local veggies have been given to families and individuals in need.
INTERESTED IN BECOMING A GLEAN TEAM VOLUNTEER? Get added to our volunteer list HERE!
GLEAN TEAM volunteers will be called into action a few days before a gleaning event. Events take place on an as needed basis depending on weather and harvest schedule for local farmers. A farmer will call a couple days before they need produce moved from the field and we will make a call out to our volunteers!
The Food Bank for Larimer County and The Growing Project will be hosting two GLEAN TEAM orientations/meet and greets in mid-summer for interested volunteers. Please stay tuned for dates and we will make a formal announcement soon!

ARE YOU A FARMER OR LARGE SCALE GARDENER? Give us your contact info so we can be in touch about future gleaning events at your farm! Fill out a short form HERE. To schedule a gleaning event please contact our coordinators (info below).
We are always looking for other food donors who may need help harvesting and delivering crops for donation to the food bank! Our GLEAN TEAM coordinators have garden experience and can manage volunteers and delivery. GLEAN TEAM can only help if there is OVER 50 lbs. of produce to harvest. If you have a smaller garden please participate in the Food Bank's Plant It Forward Program.
