Urban Agriculture & Food Systems meets the 3rd Monday of the month.
Chair: Chad Shavor, chad@thegrowingproject.org
This committee's focus is to increase the amount of productive garden space and get the people involved who love gardening in the Fort Collins community. Committee members work with Urban Foods Outreach (UFO) gardens, Garden Hosts, Garden Mentors, the Food Bank for Larimer County, local farmers, Glean Team, Garden Time, vermiculture, composting and other volunteers. Members also work on volunteer recruitment, local government policies, incorporating permaculture-oriented garden designs, working with other food organizations, writing garden manuals, and improving and expanding the Urban Foods Outreach programs.

Resource Development and Fundraising meets on an as-needed basis.

The resource development and fundraising committee strives to produce monetary resources that help support and cultivate TGP. Committee members work on grant writing efforts, fundraising events, and other creative ways of attaining awesome volunteers, facilities, operations, growing space, equipment and materials, stipends, scholarships, jobs, and any other monetary needs.

Community Outreach & Engagement meets the Second Monday of every month.

The objective of this committee is to form partnerships with local entities which are community minded and seek to collaborate and build a cohesive and more resilient community. The goal: reduce barriers to urban agriculture and facilitate The committee seeks to be a resource for local government and the voice of all community-minded growers in Northern Colorado.

Public Relations and Marketing meets on an as-needed basis.

This committee actively builds local awareness of The Growing Project by promoting the value TGP creates for the community through its various programs and services. This group work to engage community stakeholders and to reinforce TGP's mission and vision in an integrated, consistent, approach both internally and externally. Committee members are involved with writing brochures and press releases, graphic design, promotional items, tabling at volunteer and/or local events, building rapport with donors and sponsors, and any other public relations needs.

Volunteer Coordination meets the 3rd Thursday of the month.
Chair: Chloe Andrews, volunteer@thegrowingproject.org
Volunteer recruitment and continued participation are the primary concerns of this group. Committee members plan volunteer events and activities, update the events calendar, table at volunteer and/or local events, write the weekly newsletter, maintain the TGP website along with its social media websites (facebook, Meetup), as well as research other outreach opportunities in the Fort Collins community.
