All of our work kicked off back in March (how time flies!). We were fortunate enough to be able to use bench space at the Colorado State University greenhouse facilities. This space gives the plants for our home base garden and UFO gardens a strong head start prior to being transplanted outdoors. This is especially critical for plants which take more time to reach maturation (and start producing vegetables) than we have in our outdoor growing season here in Colorado.
Want to help us work in the beds first hand? Feel free to come by our homebase garden at the Shire CSA and volunteer! Just want to check out the beds, but keep your fingernails clean? You can do that at our First Friday events. Come to the Shire for food trucks, beer, music, and general great times. This Friday is our next First Friday so come on down the Spring Creek Trail and stay awhile. You can also find information about participating in one of The Growing Project University’s great classes here!
See you on Friday!
