The Growing Project and Mulberry Community Gardens are amping up for our hoop house construction and orchard planting, and we need your help.October 10. 9:00am – 1:00pm- Come join The Growing Project this Sunday as we build our new hoop house at Mulberry Community Gardens. The hoop house will be used to provide educational classes for local youth and community members; growing space for starter plants; and communal growing area for other low-income projects in the Ft. Collins area. This event is also part of the national Dig in on Volunteer Day with Slow Food Northern Colorado.October 14. 11:00am – 4:00pm- Orchard Planting at Mulberry Community Gardens. Come join us and several of the youth groups that we work with at MCG as we plant our first orchard in the Ft. Collins area. We will be putting in 21 fruit trees, thanks to the Fruit Tree Planting Foundations and all of our supporters who helped us win by voting once a day, everyday. These fruit trees will be used to beautify our communal area; provide educational classes; and to provide food for local community members. We are also in need of a few extra shovels and pickaxes, so if you have some laying around, please bring them with you.

If you are able to make it to either of these events, please email me so I can properly prepare for these events. We are very excited about our upcoming events, and we hope to see all of you there!Chad (chad@thegrowingproject.org)
